American Weirdo Magazine is a digital, 3x/year indie literary mag that publishes poetry, fiction, and nonfiction that--at its core--couldn’t exist at another point in time. As our namesake suggests, AWM is particularly interested in documenting unabashedly modern American life from unique, unconventional perspectives. The weirder and the more ultra-specific, the better. Our definitions of modern, American, and weird are broad on purpose: we want exploratory work, genre-bending work, and work without borders. Submit your work here. Read our first issue here.

Keep an eye on this page--and follow us on Instagram @americanweirdo.mag--to know when the window opens for Issue No. 2 submissions. If you have any questions in the meantime, check out our FAQ page or email us at americanweirdomag@gmail.com!
